My love for yoga began over 10 years ago. As an new mother I was looking for a way to get in shape and de-stress.
My first class was a train wreck. Racing thoughts flooded my mind: “Wow I’m out of shape!, Am I doing this right?, I thought yoga was just stretching!” Well my thoughts must have been written all over my face because after class the teacher said, “Just keep showing up to your mat”. With a steady practice of tuning into my breath and listening to my body, I began to become aware of the self defeating patterns of thought that were running wild in my head and to find space between stressful thoughts and my reaction to them. As a result I became a happier person both on and off my mat. I completed my 200 hour yoga teacher certification in 2013, and a 100 hour Spirituality and Vinyasa course in 2015, both through Live Love Teach. I am grateful to be able to share what I have learned through teaching yoga.
