Community Classes

Newport was founded in 1639 as a beacon for cultural, religious and economic freedom. Through a spirit of tolerance and inclusion, Newport grew into one of Colonial America’s leading seaports and commercial centers. Over the centuries, it still remains a dynamic and vibrant place to live or come visit.    Our vision at  Newport Power Yoga is to continue with that positive energy by making yoga accessible and affordable for EVERYONE in the community. That is why we have created several Community Classes in our schedule throughout the week.

 

The classes are taught by senior instructors in the same manner as other classes on the schedule. However, the cost is only $5.

 

Current Community Class schedule:

Tuesday – 9:30-10:45am – All Levels

Thursday – Noon-1pm – All Levels

Friday – 7-8pm – All Levels *   THIS CLASS IS “DONATION BASED” – Give more or less anonymously in the box at studio – cash only & arrive early as the class will fill up.    ALL PROCEEDS  BENEFIT A DIFFERENT CHARITY OR NON PROFIT EACH WEEK!

 

ORGANIZATIONS WE SUPPORT IN ANY WAY WE CAN:

CHILD & FAMILY RI – Assists the most vulnerable families and children in the RI area providing counseling, mentoring and group homes.

 

POTTER LEAGUE – Dedicated to making a difference in the lives of animals in the Newport area. Promoting humane treatment, adoption services and shelter and care for lost or unwanted pets

 

GALLENTFEW – Assisting active duty military members transitioning to civilian life.

 

HUNKAPI PROGRAMS- Therapeutic riding sessions with horses for adults and children in Scottsdale, AZ.
